The Sentence – Kinds
Sentences have 5 main kinds.

1) Assertive – An assertive sentence simply makes a statement. It states facts describe thing or report events. They are also called declarative sentences. Some sentences make positive statements and they are called affirmative statements. Some sentences make negative statements using word such as not, never, no etc. They are called negative statements.
