The Past Continuous Tense
Uses:- The past continuous is used for actions which were in progress or continued in the past. It does not indicate the beginning or the end of the action. It may be used with a specific point of time.
Ex. I was playing cricket at 6 pm yesterday.
They were sleeping when I visited them.
Form:- The past continuous tense is formed by using was / were +the present participle form of the main verb.
